C-IoT On The Beach

30 families from around Hampshire joined micro:bit and C-IoT staff/students for a day of IoT-related activities on Lepe beach. 22 children joined in with hands-on activities, ranging from age 7 to 15. Attendees found out more about the micro:bit, undertaking a range of projects including automatic plant watering, garbage robots, and measuring the motion of (sea) waves. The opportunities and challanges of IoT were discussed thoughout the day, including security and autonomous vehicles.

We hope to run a similar event again in the future!
